New coach for the Greens: Emelie Nyman

29 June 2020

We have added a new member to our coaching staff this off-season and we are happy to introduce Emelie today!
Emelie started playing basketball when she was 9 years old in her hometown Malmö in Sweden.
She played one season for IK Eos in Lund before she moved to Barcelona at age 19.
In Spain she played for CB Cornella while studying Business Administration, Technology and sports. She wrote her bachelor thesis in a collaboration with Euroleague who had their office next to her university.
Emelie started coaching at age 14 as an assistant coach for her little brother's team in Malbas, continued coaching both boys and girls from U6-U14 in both Malbas and IK Eos, and got her C license at 18.
She stopped coaching when she moved away from Sweden but when after moving to Luxembourg in 2018, she decided to take it up again and coached two seasons in Sparta Bertrange (Poussines and Fillettes).
We are very happy to add Emelie to our coaching stuff for the coming season where she will help to develop the girls section.
Emelie:"I'm very excited to join the BBC Grengewald family! I've heard great things about the club and I admire their commitment to developing strong and top performing girls and women teams and players.
I look forward to taking on this new challenge and developing from the great roster of coaches, players and members.
My hope is to help develop players individually with a lot of focus on fundamentals and basketball IQ. I love fast basketball and when every player gives their all on and out of the court."

Welcome to Grengewald Emelie!
